Cozy Self-Care Ideas for Soft Days | Stickers, Journaling & Slow Living

Self-care doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes it's as simple as a quiet morning, a warm drink, and a few minutes for yourself. I think the summer months can sometimes be mentally challenging for many folks because they feel they need to achieve certain goals or appear to be doing something. But sometimes, the simple things are the better choices.
Here are a few ways to slow down and reconnect with yourself:
- Start your day slowly. No phone. Some affirmations. A cute cup and your favorite tea, or coffee and a quiet moment.
- Journaling with cute stickers. Honestly, I didn’t think it worked at first; but just seeing the little blueberry jaguar sticker on my notebook makes me feel good. And according to mental health practitioners, journaling is a great way to manage stress and process emotions.*. Simply put, journaling gets your thoughts out and gives you time for yourself. - Go on a walk. Make time for yourself by taking a short walk. 20 minutes works great for me, and just notice things around you.
- Treat yourself to something cute. A new sticker, a comfy blanket, a small gift for yourself- honestly, sometimes that’s all that it takes to feel better.
- Create a safe space. Whether you have a big living space or a small one, setting up a small spot in your home or room with your favorite journals, sticky notes, stickers, and a warm drink is a great way to make it feel like “me-time”.
